So often we find ourselves coming up short in life, having a vision for where we could be, should be, hope to be, desire to be, but we aren’t there. Why? There are obstacles, blocks in our path to get there and most of the time we are the one’s who place them there. We sabotage ourselves! #BASIC7 is designed to help us remove those obstacles and discover the more we were made for. We even have #BASIC7 for kids—we believe the whole family benefits from going on a journey together.
7 Daily Requirements:
Abstain from alcohol
Meet someone every day
Exercise for 45 minutes every day
Observe a 24 hour sabbath weekly
Perform 1 random act of kindness every day
Pick a diet and stick to it with no cheat meals
Wake up before the sun and spend time with God
#BASIC7 for Kids!
Pray together as a family daily
Practice a hobby or interest daily
Make healthy food choices daily
Drink 3 cups of water daily
Learn something new about a classmate during school days
Do a random act of kindness daily
No video games one day a week

The reality is, the majority of people who start this will fail. THIS IS HARD. If you fall off the wagon you have a choice to make, “Do I start over from day 1 or do I quit?” Only you can make that choice, but these are the only choices available.

Most of us will have to make time instead of finding it. That might mean waking up an hour earlier, sacrificing a lunch break, or going on a walk after the kids go to bed...or better yet, take the entire family on a walk with you. This will require a shift in action, behavior, schedule, etc. Remember, to see things we’ve never seen before, we must do things we’ve never done before.

Absolutely, the workouts don't have to be lifting weights at the gym. Just intentionally move for 45 minutes. Get your heart rate going, break a sweat, and move your body.

No. “Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.” (Mark 1:35). We are aiming to follow the example of Jesus on this one, plus, waking up before the sun will create a new habit for you that will help you discover that you actually have more time than you thought.
